Accommodation
Ortigia
A quaint island connected to the mainland by bridge, Ortigia is about 40 minutes from the wedding venue and our top recommendation for your stay. It is the historic centre of the area, with cobbled streets, excellent restaurants and a small harbour. Options for accommodation are available to suit all budgets.
Transfers to/from the wedding venue will depart to/from Ortigia.
Mangia’s Brucoli Sicily
A pleasant beach resort with a kids club, about 15 minutes from the wedding venue. The transfer to/from the venue will swing past this hotel. We will have a 10% discount code that we will share here once bookings are open.
Other
There are dozens of hotels and Airbnbs in the surrounding areas. Booking.com or similar websites are probably your best bet to find options.
Please note: if you choose to stay in another area, you will have to make your own way to and from the venue.
Travel
Getting to Sicily
The best airport to fly into is Catania (CTA). There are several flights a day from the UK. Catania Airport is 30 minutes away from the venue.
You can also fly into Palermo, but this is a 3 hour drive to the venue.
If you are planning to stay in Sicily before or after the wedding, you would definitely benefit from having a car.
Getting to the venue
We have organised bus transfers from both Ortigia & Mangia’s Brucoli hotel (see schedule).
The bus pick up location in Ortigia is the Parcheggio Molo Sant’Antonio (map link here). At Mangia’s Brucoli, the bus will collect guests from the car park.
Please note: the pick up location in Ortigia is a 15-20 minute walk from the centre, due to small roads on the island. You can walk or easily order an Uber from your hotel.
The bus will leave at 3PM sharp - please don’t be late!
If you’d prefer to get a taxi straight to the venue, you can order an Uber or use the numbers below.

We have organised bus transfers to Ortigia & Mangia’s Brucoli on both days (wedding day and garden party, see schedule). Alternatively you can order a taxi using the numbers below.

Questions
What’s the dress code?
Sunday 6th June - wedding - Formal (no morning suits).
Monday 7th June - garden party - Smart/casual (+ bring your swimsuits!)
Are children welcome?
Sunday 6th June - Unfortunately we can’t accommodate children (with the exception of babies in arms).
Monday 7th June - Babies and children welcome. We will likely have entertainment for kids.

What will the weather be like?
Early June in Sicily is usually very warm and sunny. We recommend lightweight suits, dresses and suncream!
Will there be shade?
Plenty. Including at the ceremony.
Can I take photos?
Please refrain from taking photos or videos during the ceremony. The rest of the time, please snap away - we’d love to see your pictures.

Can you accommodate dietary requirements?
Absolutely - please include any dietary requirements when submitting your RSVP.
Can we swim?
Yes - there will be access to the pool on Monday at the garden party, so bring swimwear and towels.
